About the Role

As the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our Managed Laboratory Services (MLS) partnerships across the UK & Ireland. Your responsibilities will include overseeing existing contracts, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring strategic alignment with our commercial goals. You will also lead tender submissions and collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to deliver optimal contract performance.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

Managed Service Partner Engagement & Relationship Development

  • Serve as the primary contact for Managed Service Partners, handling contract-related matters, tender opportunities, and general inquiries.

  • Foster and strengthen relationships with existing partners while identifying new business opportunities to support commercial growth.

Contract Oversight & Performance Management

  • Ensure timely completion of Managed Service Contracts (MSC) KPI reports.

  • Provide support to the Customer Service Specialist Team and actively participate in Quarterly Review Meetings with customers.

Strategic Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Work closely with the Commercial Contract Specialist and Tender Specialist to align tender priorities, standardize contract documentation, and maintain compliance.

  • Collaborate with the Manager Sales UK & Ireland to ensure strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and commercial success.

Tender & Risk Management

  • Lead the end-to-end tender process, ensuring high-quality submissions in compliance with IVDR and regulatory standards.

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with tenders, escalating concerns as needed to Sales and Legal teams.

Regulatory & Regional Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for contractual and regulatory inquiries, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.

  • Provide occasional support across the North-Western territory, maintaining alignment and consistency in contract management and tender processes.


What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • A university degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

  • 5+ years of commercial experience, ideally within Managed Services in Pathology, Histopathology, or a related industry.

  • Strong background in tender management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.


Skills & Competencies

  • Communication & Negotiation: Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Histopathology equipment, workflows, and processes is an advantage.

  • Digital Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital platforms.

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of commercial strategies, revenue generation, and market trends.


Other Requirements

  • A valid UK driving license.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland, with occasional trips to Europe.

  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
