Junior System Administrator (Full-time)

Location: Alphen aan den Rijn, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

What will you do?

As a Junior System Administrator, you will play a key role in keeping our IT environment running smoothly. Working closely with our Senior System Administrator, you will support colleagues with hardware and software questions. From installing and maintaining networks and servers to configuring software and managing accounts – you’ve got it covered.

Additionally, you will actively contribute to improving our IT landscape and have plenty of opportunities to grow your skills. You will work from our office in Alphen aan den Rijn and report directly to the IT Manager.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on the development and improvement of our IT architectural strategy.

  • Managing, installing, maintaining, and registering hardware, networks, and related accessories.

  • Responding quickly and effectively to resolve IT issues.

  • Managing domain registrations and access rights.

  • Documenting IT processes, software architecture, and procedures.

  • Continuously developing yourself on a technical and personal level

Job requirements

What do we ask of you?

  • A completed MBO level 4 education in System Administration or similar.

  • You speak English fluently and you have a good command of Dutch.

  • Up to 2 years of work experience as a Junior System Administrator, Junior Network Administrator, or similar role.

  • Experience with databases, networks, and patch management.

  • Basic knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.

  • Familiarity with Office 365, TOPdesk, and Azure is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.

  • A proactive and service-oriented attitude, with a practical approach.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%).

  • Interest in automation (e.g., PowerShell, Mendix) or willingness to learn.
