The opportunity:

Are you ready to take on a thrilling role as a Laboratory Informatics Specialist at Sakura Finetek Europe BV? We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our EMEA Customer Support department and make a real impact in the world of laboratory informatics.

In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in laboratory informatics to support our customers and colleagues, and ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support regional and local teams within EMEA in connecting instruments to third party laboratory information systems and automation solutions.
  • Ensure network, security, remote support and reporting are delivered and executed as per Statement of Work.
  • Liaise with third party IT vendors.
  • Perform software/hardware installation and configuration processes.
  • Provide structured software application product training to end users and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the design, development, installation, tuning and maintenance of end-to-end solutions.
  • Work closely with other Customer Support colleagues to gather, analyse, understand and translate business processes and requirements into IT solutions that include technology and support.
  • Resolve technical issues and optimize performance.
  • Coordinate standardization, collect and analyse the best practices to improve IT solutions.
  • Contribute to the strategic plan for IT solutions.
  • Achieve personal goals as formulated at the beginning of the fiscal year.

Job requirements

We perfectly match if you 

  • have  + 2 years in a similar role with a focus on customer-facing post-sales IT support. Proven software integration experience is a plus.
  • have knowledge of SQL programming and databases.
  • have excellent IT functional expertise, IT products/ compliancy,  and industry knowledge in laboratory medicine.
  • have knowledge of medical communication protocols (HPRIM, ASTM, HL7).
  • used to work in cross-functional teams.
  • have the determination to get the job done and the ability to work in an environment that is constantly changing.
  • have strong interdisciplinary, intercultural and networking skills.

and you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, related field or equivalent preferred.
  • have an excellent command of English, both written & spoken.
  • Willing to travel an average of 50% of the time within Europe, Middle East & Africa.
  • excellent problem solving skills.
  • are self-starter, proactive and structured.
