Team Leader Financial Accountant

We are seeking for an experienced and dedicated Team Lead Financial Accountant with a high degree of initiative, dynamism and professionalism.
As a Team Lead Financial Accountant, you will lead, support & motivate the finance team and report directly to the Director Finance EMEAI.
You will be providing financial accounting and statutory reporting for Sakura Finetek Europe B.V & supporting our international Business Units.
In cooperation with the team, tax manager, financial specialists and the external certified accountant, you ensure that the administration is compliant to the local law and regulation.

Job requirements

We are seeking for an experienced and dedicated Team Lead Financial Accountant with a high degree of initiative, dynamism and professionalism.
As a Team Lead Financial Accountant, you will lead, support & motivate the finance team and report directly to the Director Finance EMEAI.
You will be providing financial accounting and statutory reporting for Sakura Finetek Europe B.V & supporting our international Business Units.
In cooperation with the team, tax manager, financial specialists and the external certified accountant, you ensure that the administration is compliant to the local law and regulation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead and coach direct reports on results (KPI’s) Competencies & development during both formal evaluation and informal moments.
  • Proactive in advising and co-develop in the 3 years Finance Strategy.
  • Perform the annual performance reviews and personal development conversations of the team.
  • Take the lead in the day-to-day activities, solve ad-hoc issues, drive implementations, optimize and improve processes. Also you will be developing and driving the long-term improvement agenda & manage related projects.
  • Manage the European Treasury and cash flow forecast.
  • Supporting the team with the month-end close and year-end audit.
  • Preparing & reporting the monthly balance, cashflow and profit and loss reports for Sakura Finetek Europe.
  • Assure quality & integrity of all data and reports.
  • Business partnering with relevant intern stakeholders (Managers, directors & Distributors Sales) in order to provide financial support and information.
  • Ensure financial reporting for the region Distributor Sales from an internal (Dutch GAAP) and external (India) perspective is accurate and delivered in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders in line with different reporting guidelines.
  • Setup clear SLA’s with our internal clients (with respect to SSC activities).
  • Preparing and control of the monthly reports and the annual accounts for the auditors.
  • Ensure that Finance Group Policies & Procedures are adhered.
  • Overseeing the intercompany reconciliation process (invoicing).
  • Ensure the tax compliance obligations are submitted in a timely and correct manner including Transfer Pricing.
  • Accountable for the operational guidelines for expense claims (SRXP).
  • Accountable for the credit card process.

We perfectly match if
you have

  • Bachelor degree in business administration/accountancy.
  • A minimum of 8 years working experience in an international accounting department.
  • IT skills (MS Office, WMS/ERP systems).

  • are fluent in Dutch & English, both verbal and written.
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
  • people oriented, strong communicator & have a pragmatic can-do attitude.
  • have a strong analytical skills & eye for details.
