The opportunity:

The Technical Support Engineer will independently provide advice & support to stakeholders of various departments of SFE, regional business units (RBU’s) and distributors in various technical areas such as IT structure & development, training, support, repair, service and guarantee. In addition, technical support and advise will be given to the Marketing Department for the development and improvement of new and existing products.

Key responsibilities:

• Independently provide technical advice to RBU’s and distributors, by means of communication, documentation and on-site support.

• Responsible for technical support of predefined conventional instruments. Can fully support requests in own escalation system. 

• Manage, coordinate and monitor all aspects relating to demonstration units and complaint handling

• On-time and adequate reporting.

• Create reports of product responsible instruments to monitor product performance, part usage, labor and part cost to improve product profitability.

• To stay informed of new developments, improvements and regulations of Sakura Products and to implement these. 

• Share knowledge on an active way.

• Provide technical training sessions with respect to the procedures of the Sakura Academy. 

• Member of product development teams within Sakura and responsible for technical support and deliverables for new products. 

• Realisation of the personal- and team-goals, formulated in the beginning of the fiscal year.

Job requirements

We perfectly match if

you have

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • excellent verbal, analytical, organizational written skills of Dutch and English.
  • secondary vocational education or higher education with technical specialization.
  • Good presentation/communication skills to meet the training requirements 
  • Good IT skills (IT hardware and MS Office/VBA). 
  • People oriented and customer focused 
  • Strong customer-service skills with preferable experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment in the medical device industry.
  • Passion for technology. Shows technical and creative knowledge and expertise, with regard to work. New knowledge is acquired rapidly and follows developments in the field. 
  • Can work independent and has the ability to organise his own work 
  • Willingness to travel 25 %
